The housing for tool pushers and rig hands is taking shape as roofs are completed and walls are being hoisted into place. Next week they should have all four walls attached on both units.
Here are some incredible pictures of the construction and fitting of the substructure. It should be moved outside any day now and components will be added to it as they are finished. Also pictured are the skids for the tool pusher and rig hand houses. This is another reason we will attract the best hands in the field. Not only will they get to work on a brand new Drilling Rig, they will have brand new housing to live in too!
The first two pictures show the progress on the mud pits. The third picture is of the water tank. And the last picture shows one section of the substructure and a mud pit. The substructure should be completely moved outside and assembled by the end of this week.
Shown here are the generator house, mud pit and driller's house.

These include 2 skids for the mud pumps, 1 for the draw works, 1 for the driller's house, 1 for the generator house and 1 for the mud house. The steel that will be used for the walls of the generator house and mud house should arrive next week. We also expect work to begin very shortly on the derrick.
Last week we ordered the six 575hp Caterpillar engines and 2 generator sets for the rig. We should get the 1st two engines in a week or two. The other motors will be here in about 4 weeks. We received our 1st shipment of steel last week and we are ordering another shipment this week. The mud pumps have been ordered out of China and should arrive in Long Beach, CA in approximately 90 days. The pictures show the progress of work on skids.
Planning for the construction of Red Rock Rig 101 started months ago. Over the last 2 weeks construction has begun on several components for the Drilling Rig. The items pictured here are skids for housing, engines and pumps. Over the next several months we will post pictures like these to show the excellence that goes into this drilling rig.
