Red Rock Drilling, Inc. has started its new website. This website will be available to the general public and have sections dealing with the manufacture, sale and leasing of Red Rock Drilling Rigs, current news and upcoming events.

The manufacturing link will illustrate the key features of our drilling rigs and what sets them apart from our competitors. A guided tour of the 19-acre facility where these rigs are made will also be available on this page. The exact engineering specifications for the rigs can be downloaded as a PDF file or viewed on line. Visitors can check the Rig Blog for the latest progress report as these rigs are completed.

The purchasing link will provide contact information for interested parties who have a current need for a rig.

The news link is home to our online newsletter, upcoming events and eventually a forum for discussions and posts.

The website will be linked to our sister companies, Red Rock Energy Partners, Ltd. and Red Rock Ministries, Inc.

We are planning future site improvements including user login to special areas for our employees and investors, live webcam shots of the drilling rig in action, a discussion forum for interactive communications accessible from all Red Rock websites and finally the web page translated into other languages.

Quick Links:
Red Rock Drilling, Inc. came about due to frustration. Red Rock Energy Partners was unable to find a rig for lease or sale to drill their prospects after more than 2½ years of looking. Early in 2006, they decided to build their own rig. Partnering with a manufacturer who built rigs during the 80’s, a rig design was approved and construction began.
Rig 101 is built tough to resist the damage caused by rig moves and to handle the everyday demands of an active rig. Expertise and craftsmanship are equality important factors in the overall quality of this rig. The mast for Rig 101 is a 136’ X 21’ portable cantilever type with a gross nominal capacity of 915,000 pounds. The static hook load is 650,000 pounds with ten lines. With pipe racked it has a maximum wind resistance of 91 knots (105 mph) and with full set-back capacity 69 knots (79 mph). The mast is supported by a four box, twenty foot floor height, substructure with a nominal capacity of one million pounds.
The first rig is already scheduled to drill prospects for Red Rock Energy and will be available for lease to other developers on an ongoing basis after that. Other rigs are currently under construction or planned. These will be available for sale to interested buyers.
There may be cheaper rigs out there, but there are none better!
